The cruise ships “Mein Schiff 4” and “Mein Schiff 5” have successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz and are now approaching the coast of Oman, according to an update from TUI Cruises and current AIS tracking data.

Both vessels are en route toward Muscat, with arrival expected imminently or having just occurred in Omani waters.

The safe passage through one of the world’s most strategically sensitive maritime chokepoints marks a significant milestone amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. TUI Cruises expressed its gratitude to the captains, crews, and all involved parties whose professionalism and careful navigation ensured a smooth transit without incident.

Following the Hormuz passage, the company’s focus has shifted to the ships’ onward journey toward the Mediterranean. Further details regarding itineraries and scheduling are expected to be communicated once confirmed.

At present, no verified images of the ships docked in Oman have emerged. Given the fast-moving situation and limited on-site media access, visual documentation of the arrival is likely to appear with some delay, typically via local ship spotters or official company channels.

In parallel, TUI Cruises has already taken broader operational measures in response to the evolving security situation in the region. The cruise line announced that “Mein Schiff Flow” will not operate its originally planned itineraries in the Orient or on routes from the Mediterranean around Africa during the 2026/2027 winter season. Instead, the vessel will be redeployed to offer new itineraries in Northern and Southern Europe.

As a result, all “Mein Schiff Flow” sailings scheduled between October 4, 2026, and May 1, 2027, have been canceled. Affected guests and travel partners have been informed, and the newly planned European itineraries are expected to open for booking by the end of April.

With the successful transit of the Strait of Hormuz and the strategic adjustment of its deployment plans, TUI Cruises is responding to the volatile situation in the Middle East while prioritizing safety, operational reliability, and clear communication for its guests and partners.
