Norwegian Cruise Line has officially christened its newest cruise ship, Norwegian Luna™, in Miami.
The vessel will sail from Miami to destinations across the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
Guests can expect a variety of itineraries, including stops at popular destinations and the company’s private islands. Norwegian Luna™ also features a wide range of onboard dining, entertainment, and leisure options.
With this new addition, Norwegian Cruise Line continues to expand its presence in the Caribbean cruise market.
From April 2026 through April 2027, the Norwegian Luna will offer a variety of sun-filled itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, including visits to Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island destinations, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and Harvest Caye in Belize.
Great Stirrup Cay has recently been enhanced with new attractions, including the Great Life Lagoon, a spacious pool area featuring two swim-up bars, private cabanas, and lounge chairs, all located just steps from the family-friendly Splash Harbor. For adults seeking a more exclusive experience, the Vibe Shore Club offers a dedicated retreat with a private bar, premium lounge seating, cabanas, and direct beach access. In addition, the island is set to debut the approximately six-acre Great Tides Waterpark this summer. Highlights include 19 waterslides, industry-first cliff jumps, Splash Cay—a 9,000-square-foot kids’ splash zone—and the Wandering River, an approximately 800-foot immersive water experience with a faster current than a traditional lazy river.
Following its Miami season, Norwegian Luna will reposition to New York, where it will sail four- and seven-day roundtrip itineraries to Bermuda from April through October 2027. With extended port stays and overnight calls in Bermuda, guests will have more time to experience the island’s famous pink sand beaches and enjoy a wide range of activities both on land and at sea, including catamaran excursions, ATV tours, cave exploration, and scenic bike rides.
