Fincantieri strengthens its long-standing collaboration with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) with a new order for the construction of an ultra-luxury cruise ship for the Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand.

The ship is scheduled for delivery in 2033. It will be the sister ship of the Seven Seas Prestige, the first of the new Prestige class, currently under construction at the Marghera shipyard and scheduled for delivery in 2026. A second unit of the same type is already planned for 2030

With a gross tonnage of 77,000 and a length of 257 meters, the new ship will accommodate 822 passengers, offering one of the highest space-to-passenger ratios in the industry. Its design combines elegance and sophistication with the most advanced environmental technologies, confirming the Group's ongoing commitment to sustainable innovation.

Fincantieri has already built 10 ships for NCLH 's various brands , and the current order book includes 13 additional ships covering all of the holding company's brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania Cruises.

“The extension of our strategic collaboration with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., consolidated over time thanks to numerous successful orders, confirms the strength of our relationship and Fincantieri’s role as a leading partner in the ultra-luxury segment represented by Regent Seven Seas Cruises,” commented Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and Managing Director of Fincantieri.

“This new order demonstrates the confidence this shipowner places in our ability to design and build innovative, sustainable, and handcrafted vessels, in line with the evolution of the luxury cruise market. Faced with the new challenges and opportunities presented by the market, from the growing commitment to sustainability to enhancing the passenger experience, Fincantieri will continue to support its clients in their growth strategies and in shaping the future of cruising worldwide,” added Folgiero.

“This new order represents another milestone in our growth trajectory in the luxury segment, offering our guests an even more exclusive way to experience the world’s most luxurious fleet. It confirms the growing demand for Regent’s world-class offerings and the value of our historic partnership with Fincantieri, based on quality and a shared, constant pursuit of excellence,” said Jason Montague, Director of the Luxury Division at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
