StarCruises and Dream Cruises launches in Jakarta, Star Voyager Maiden’s Sailing from Tanjong Priok

StarCruises continued their launch celebrations in Jakarta, strengthening their presence in the region.
This marks an exciting new chapter for both brands, building on 30 years of rich heritage and a strong cruising legacy, particularly in Asia. The event also coincided with the maiden arrival and inaugural sailing of the Star Voyager cruise ship in Jakarta, which had undergone a US$50 million refit, adding to the excitement of the celebration.
With the Lebaran and local school holidays approaching, Indonesians now have the convenience of departing right from their “doorsteps” at Tanjong Priok Port in Jakarta to embark on thrilling round-trip cruises. Guests can now book the 5-night Jakarta – Singapore – Melaka – Jakarta cruise, with four sailings available until 13 April 2025. Additionally, six sailings for the 4-night Jakarta – Singapore – Jakarta cruises are offered from 12 June to 2 July 2025. During this period, both Jakarta and Medan will also welcome a surge of inbound tourists, with 16 scheduled arrivals, potentially bringing in up to 32,000 visitors.
Local representatives from Indonesia’s Ministry of Transport, Mr. Rifanie Komara, Deputy Director, International Shipping, and Miss S. Utari Widyastuti, Secretary to the Deputy for Destination Development and Infrastructure, Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy, Indonesia, alongside StarCruises and Dream Cruises management, including Mr. Michael Goh, its President, jointly officiated the launch of both brands. The event also marked the maiden arrival and inaugural sailing of the Star Voyager in Jakarta.
