Greece-based Variety Cruises has successfully completed a comprehensive, months-long refurbishment of its entire fleet, aimed at enhancing the overall quality and comfort of its cruise experiences.
Initiated in November 2024, the upgrade project featured a full renovation of the Galileo, one of the company’s most popular small ships. Several other vessels—Harmony V, Harmony G, Panorama, Panorama II, Variety Voyager, Pegasos, and Callisto—also underwent essential maintenance and modernization.
The physical upgrades were carried out alongside enhanced staff training initiatives, equipping crew members across the globe with the tools to deliver an elevated level of service on board.
“As part of our ongoing commitment to exceptional small ship cruising, we've made significant investments to refresh and modernize our vessels,” said Filippos Venetopoulos, CEO of Variety Cruises. “These improvements are designed not only to meet but exceed guest expectations, ensuring a more comfortable and immersive travel experience.”
Following a full overhaul during the winter, the Galileo—a 157-foot wooden mega yacht featuring signature white sails and capacity for 49 guests—returned to service on March 21, 2025. The renovation included redesigned public spaces with new lounge seating, a refreshed outdoor bar, upgraded cabin lighting, carpeting, and furnishings, along with fully remodeled bathrooms featuring new showers, tiles, and plumbing.

The Harmony V, a 179-foot motor yacht also accommodating up to 49 passengers, received similar upgrades.
Enhancements included the installation of wooden flooring, updated lighting, refurbished lounge furniture, and improvements to the sun deck’s woodwork and glass fixtures.
The remaining six vessels—Harmony G, Panorama, Panorama II, Variety Voyager, Pegasos, and Callisto—underwent targeted improvements, such as cabin refurbishments, deck refinishing, and upgrades to shared spaces. Notably, the Variety Voyager received technical maintenance on its propulsion shafts, rudders, and seals, while the Panorama was fitted with a new engine exhaust silencer to reduce onboard noise and vibration.
To support travel advisors, Variety Cruises has launched a new online booking portal designed to streamline the reservation process and provide more flexibility in selecting cabins, dates, and destinations.
Additionally, the company is promoting its popular “Sell Three & Sail Free” program. Travel advisors who book three cabins on eligible itineraries receive a complimentary cruise for two, which can be used as a familiarization trip or a client incentive. This promotion is currently valid for sailings in Italy, Malta, the Adriatic Sea, Tahiti, and French Polynesia.
