What will Carnival Cruise Line Celebration Key offer in the Bahamas when it opens on July 19, 2025

c: CCL

In just a few weeks, Carnival Cruise Line’s highly anticipated exclusive destination Celebration Key, already consistently ranked among the most searched cruise destinations on Google, will welcome its first guests.

Here’s a preview of what guests will experience on July 19, 2025, when Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy will officially open the venue that offers guests the ultimate day in paradise.

Celebration Key is part of Carnival’s Paradise Collection that also includes RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, the highly-rated and award-winning exclusive destination known for beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters in The Bahamas, and Isla Tropicale, a fan-favorite destination where island vibes and spectacular nature come together. Both destinations will receive enhancements in 2026.

Guests will enter Celebration Key through the Sun Portal, a large sun-shaped arch that leads to Paradise Plaza, where signage and destination information help them plan their visit. At the center of the property stands the 10-story Suncastle, topped with five large conch shells and featuring two more than 350-foot-long waterslides.

The site features two lagoon areas totaling more than 275,000 square feet, making them the largest freshwater lagoons in the Caribbean. Calypso Lagoon is designed for adults and includes DJ Island and Mingo’s Tropical Bar & Kitchen, which features a swim-up bar with 166 in-water seats. Starfish Lagoon caters to families and includes water activities and areas for children.

Eight Super Villas are available for reservation. Four are located over the lagoons—two at Calypso Lagoon and two at Starfish Lagoon—and four are beachside, with two at each respective beach. Each villa accommodates up to 10 guests and includes shaded seating, fans, hammocks, stocked mini fridge, fresh fruit, snacks, lunch delivery and a sun shelf with water loungers and slide access.

Pearl Cove Beach Club is a premium, adults-only area featuring an 11,000-square-foot infinity pool with a swim-up bar, private beach, and indoor and outdoor dining. Guests can choose between three reservation options that include club access with a welcome drink, open bar (up to 10 drinks), or open bar and food from the private restaurant.

Starfish Lagoon also offers AquaBanas—floating cabanas with shaded seating for up to eight people—available by reservation. Toddlers can enjoy Guppy Grotto, a coral reef-themed splash pad and shallow pool.
