Celebrity Edge is a unique cruise ship in several ways, an impressive feat in a highly competitive industry of more than 300 mainstream cruise ships.
Now she has yet another defining feature to add to the list.
She is the first cruise ship to have a full-length documentary made about her construction by the cruise line itself and not a broadcaster or production network.
The response to the transformational Celebrity Edge has been just incredible. So many people want to know what it took to design, build and launch this transformational ship,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO, Celebrity Cruises.
Celebrity teamed up with award-winning production agency Artex Productions to make the film, and brought in the ship’s ambassador Nate Berkus, an American interior designer, author, and television personality, to host and narrate the documentary.

The documentary follows the build process all the way from steel cutting right up to her arrival and naming ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Celebrity Edge measures 130,818 GT, is the first of a trio of 2,918-passenger sister ships.
While Edge is homeporting in Fort Lauderdale, sailing week-long eastern and western Caribbean cruises, the second vessel, Celebrity Apex, will be homeported in Europe.
