Virgin Voyages has announced that the name of its second ship will be the Valiant Lady.

Debuting in May 2021, the second ship for the new adults-only cruise brand will homeport in Barcelona, Spain, and sail seven-night Mediterranean itineraries.

Bookings for the three feature itineraries, all of which offer overnight and late-night stops in France, Italy and Spain, will open December 19, 2019.

The Valiant Lady will dock close to Las Ramblas at the World Trade Center Barcelona, offering guests walking access to the neighborhoods of Poble Sec, el Raval, Barri Gotic, Port Vell and the urban beach of La Barceloneta.

A weekly Sunday sail away will also allow for extra time in Barcelona and for many different flight options, Virgin Voyages said. The cruise line is partnering with cruise port operator Global Ports Holding to prepare for the Valiant Lady’s arrival in early summer 2021.

Every sailing will have a Friday overnight stay in Ibiza, and all itineraries will include late stays in other ports.

The Valiant Lady will follow the debut of the Scarlet Lady, which is scheduled to set sail from Miami to the Caribbean in March 2020. Each ship will have a capacity of more than 2,770 guests.

Like the first ship in the series, the Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, will be built by Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri. Virgin Voyages has a total of four cruise ships on order from the shipbuilder, with the delivery of the latest ship set for 2023.
