Royal Caribbean Cruises: Aborts cruise of Oasis of the Sea due to Norovirus outbreak, 277 Passengers sick
The Miami based Cruise Company Royal Caribbean, reported that they are cutting short the current cruise of the World largest Cruise Ship mv OASIS of the SEAS. 277 Passengers came down with the Norovirus.
Royal Caribbean said all passengers will receive full refunds.
“We think the right thing to do is to get everyone home early rather than have guests worry about their health,” said Rob Zeiger, chief communications manager for Royal Caribbean. Returning on Saturday also gives us more time to completely clean and sanitize the ship before her next sailing.”
The Oasis of the Seas had docked in Falmouth, Jamaica when the decision was made to return to Port of Canaveral on Saturday, one day ahead of schedule.
