December 9, the Royal Caribbean ship interrupted its four-day cruise and returned to Singapore the day before after an 83-year-old man tested positive on board.

The Singapore National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) reported Wednesday evening that two tests showed negative results. Another test was planned for Thursday.

The Quantum of the Seas docked at the Marina Bay Cruise Center at 8 a.m.

Disembarkation began 12 hours later and took 4 hours to disembark all 1,680 passengers.

Groups of 25 people were escorted to the gangway, where the passengers' temperatures were measured before they left the ship and where they had to do a rapid antigen test.

The guests were told that they would be notified within an hour if the result was positive.

At midnight all passengers were disembarked. Royal Caribbean had already canceled the planned departure of the next cruise on Thursday on Wednesday.
