THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BLUE STAR LINE, CLIVE PALMER, ANNOUNCED YESTERDAY THAT THE CONSTRUCTION PLANS FOR THE TITANIC II HAVE BEEN FINALIZED.

"It's much more fun sailing the Titanic than sitting at home counting my money," said the eccentric Australian billionaire.

"We are delighted to announce that after unforeseen global delays, we are once again working with partners to bring the dream of Titanic II to life. Let the journey begin," said Mr. Palmer.

"Government lockdowns have put the cruise industry into a long-term standstill, but shipping is back in full swing and passenger numbers are now exceeding pre-COVID levels. We are bringing the world's best shipbuilders, designers and engineers back on deck to build Titanic II," Mr. Palmer said.

The project continues to be supported by Deltamarin, the world's leading ship design and construction company based in Finland.

Deltamarin has undertaken a review of the Titanic II project to ensure that the vessel complies with all current safety and construction regulations and meets the Blue Star Line's design criteria.

Other global partners include V.Ships Leisure, which will be responsible for project support, construction supervision and ship management, and Swedish naval architecture and interior design company Tillberg Design, whose portfolio includes the classic ocean liners Queen Elizabeth 2 and Queen Mary 2.

"Blue Star Line will create an authentic Titanic experience, offering passengers a ship with the same interior design and cabin layout as the original ship, but with modern safety procedures, navigation methods and 21st century technology.

"We are bringing in some of the best cruise designers in the world to ensure that nothing is overlooked and that we have a specification that is far, far better than the original Titanic. It will be the ship of love and the ultimate in style and luxury," says Palmer.
The essence of this project is to offer passengers an unparalleled journey back in time and fully immerse them in the opulence and splendor of life on board the original Titanic, bridging a century with a voyage of unparalleled elegance," he said.

The ship will follow the original voyage, carrying passengers from Southampton to New York, but it will also circumnavigate the globe, inspiring and enchanting people as it attracts unparalleled attention, intrigue and mystery in every port it visits.

The Titanic will be approximately 56,000 GT, nine decks and designed to mimic the size of her namesake. The ship will have an overall length of 269 meters and a width of 32.2 meters.

It will have 835 cabins, including 383 in 1st class, 201 in 2nd class and 251 in 3rd class, and will accommodate up to 2,435 passengers.
The new ship will be equipped with modern technology and the latest navigation and safety systems.

"The Titanic was something that had to be built. We all know how to make war. We raise armies and finance wars. People know that. But it's much harder to make peace. To create peace, you have to keep at it every day. You move forward centimeter by centimeter.

The "Titanic II" is something that can create peace. It can be a ship of peace between all the countries of the world.

"Millions of people have dreamed of sailing on her, seeing her in port and experiencing her unique majesty. The Titanic ll will be the ship on which these dreams come true," said Palmer.
