TUI UK: Marella Cruises newly refurbished shio MARELLA EXPLORER 2 sets sails for maiden voyage

The new adults-only ship – which was officially launched in Malaga – will visit ports in the Mediterranean, taking in destinations such as Sicily, Sorrento and Corsica.
From May, it will sail from a new homeport of Naples.
Marella Explorer 2 features an array of dining and bar options, such as The Beach Cove and new pizzeria style restaurant, Nonna’s, as well as a Champneys spa and a new clubhouse bar, the 19th hole.

Marella Cruises MD Chris Hackney, said: “We’re really excited to launch our first adults-only ship, Marella Explorer 2. Following the success of our adults-only itineraries it seemed like the natural progression to offer our customers a ship exclusively for adults.
It’s really great to see that our customers are just as excited as we are – 80 per cent of Marella Explorer 2’s summer itineraries have already been booked.
“[The ship] marks the next step in the continued modernisation and growth of the Marella Cruises fleet. We’re always looking ahead and listening to what our customers want when it comes to choosing their perfect cruise and we can’t wait for them to step onboard this fantastic ship.”
There are currently six ships in the Marella Cruises fleet, Marella Dream, Marella Celebration, Marella Discovery, Marella Discovery 2, Marella Explorer and Marella Explorer 2.
